Play Submissions Are Now Open!
What are play readings? ​
No set. No memorizing lines. No lights or sound. Just actors, music stands, and the words on the page.
What's the point, right?
​
No. It is actually a great stepping stone in creating and formulating new work. Playwrights get to see what their work is like with it's first audience and can get a larger amount of feedback. They also get feedback from actors and directors working with it first hand, creating a conversation about the piece. Basic blocking and acting choices made can help the playwright know what they did communicate and what they need to communicate. We are invested in the process.
Children's Play Submissions

Requirements:

One submission per playwright.

The play cannot have had a performance prior to this application. (If play has had play readings in the past, that is acceptable.)

Max of 6 actors needed. If actors can play more than one role, that is acceptable.

This play must be acceptable for young audiences.

Must be submitted in PDF format.

Must include title and character/setting pages.

The play must not exceed 31 pages.

Please know only the first 20 plays submitted will be considered. Once you have applied, we will be in touch with you. If your play is accepted, you will be welcome taking part in our rehearsal process and the exclusive play reading. You also will receive the most up-to-date information in regards to the events.
